Hi! I wonder if anyone can help me figure out how to troubleshoot/repair my Shinco portable DVD player, model SDP-1731A. It's only been used a few times over the 6 months since we bought it, and never abused/dropped/etc. Suddenly it just didn't work the next time we took it out. No response at all... We've tried the AC adapter and the DC adapter both, and my voltage probe tells me the AC adapter is giving it juice, but there's no response at all from the device, no matter what I push/switch.
Any ideas on how I could troubleshoot this, or suggestions on where I could take it for repair? (I can't find a Shinco repair shop in the US (Pennsylvania) or any Shinco telephone support, and the US distributor's telephone number on the warranty card (Lasertech Computer Distributor in Industry, California, tele 626-363-2620) is disconnected!! I feel like I made a mistake by not going with a brand name I knew....
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
John
